Town Sign

Communication in our little town is somewhat challenging. We do not get a local radio station, any stations we might receive come out of Canada. Our town has a monthly paper that comes out 10 months out of the year. Colville has a weekly paper that many people cannot afford. Internet up until mid 2009 has been dial up only. Many people still only have that option unless they can afford a satellite internet provider. Sooooo, getting the word out can be a bit interesting.

A couple in our town took it upon themselves to erect a town sign at one end of town on which we could post upcoming events and communications. This town sign has been a great way to communicate for those traveling through town or those who live in town. Many comments have been generated, causing a double look at the sign: ‘what did that say? It has gotten people talking and people out to the events listed. There is a place on the sign for a sponsoring business to let people know about themselves. What a bonus to our town.

Saturday Market

The Saturday Market is in its 3rd year. It is open from the beginning of May through October.

All Vendors are welcome. Rental space is $5.00.
